"The End of Loneliness"

I met a man called loneliness,

He told me he knew of you,

That your paths had crossed,

More than a time or two.

I cried to him, I shared my pain,

Asked him why so many clouds,
Why so much rain.

I told him I had waited patiently,

And had no more time to spare,

That the heaviness in my heart,

Had become too much to bear.

I bowed my head, admitted defeat,

And then he said, "Young lady, have a seat."

He continued, "I've been looking for you,

Our meeting is no accident you see,

My name is Loneliness,

And I'm glad we had the chance to meet"

"I know of another, who's no better off than you,

He's had his heart broken, a time or two....

And now he's alone, and wishing that he,

Could find someone to build a foundation with,

Maybe even start a family."

"I'd love to introduce you to him,

If you're up to it, that is,

Otherwise, I can just go away,

And leave you with your sorrows,

And leave him with his"

"But here's a word of advice,

If you decide to take a chance,

Remember love takes effort from both lovers,

It's not all flowers and romance....

He'll love you, for who you are,

But he's human just like the rest,

There's no perfect relationships

But always give your best"

"Be the best lover, be his best friend,

Take time to compliment, love like there's no end

Even if things aren't always peaches and cream

Never stop believing that your union

Is the answer to your dreams."

"Love", a precious commodity,

worth more than gold,

priceless and rare,

no other feeling can compare,

"I Know I've Loved You Forever"

I’ve lived my whole life with you,

Wanting you more every day

And I walked every day beside you,

Even though you were always miles away

I've touched you every morning,

As the sun begins to rise

But I know you’re not beside me,

And I dare not open my eyes

When we’re far apart,

And you’re not close to my heart,

I lay my head back, and dream of you.

I sigh and moan, and hold on to the phone

Just for tender moments, so few

I love you then as I love you now

Our love has no definition of time

I know I’ve loved you forever,

If only in my mind.

"Your Love Is"

Your love is like a flower,

Unfolding, in the morning sun.

Your love is like raindrops,

As they sprinkle, on my tongue.

Your love is like spring time,

So fresh, and so brand new.

Your love is like a river,

That in me, runs through.

Your love is like music,

So rhythmic, and in time,

A melody, that needs no words,

No lyrics, and no rhymes.

Your love is like an eternity,

So infinite, and so true.

Your love, is everything to me,

For I see God, in you.

"Our Love Is A Work Of Art"

If I were a singer,

I'd sing the most beautiful melodies for you.

If I were a painter,

All my masterpieces would be of us two.

If I were a dancer,

I would choreograph the most delicate ballets,

And dance them the whole night through.

If I were an architect,

I'd build the most beautiful paradises,

All with the most perfect views.

If I were a writer,

My words of love would never be few.

If I were your wife, my husband you would be,

It's possible I may never be any of those things.

But one thing I know for certain,

And this comes from my heart,

Our love is in so many ways,

A true work of art!

"Sitting In Silence"

No words to fill my ears,
No vibrations of your heart

No songs or melodies, to soothe the inner parts

No touch or caress, no vows of love so true

Here we sit in silence, just me, just you

No comfort or peace, no smiles or kisses

That often warm my face

No loving eyes to desire me,

No hug to embrace

I miss the closeness of your love

I miss the tender words

You so freely gave to me

I want my husband to awaken

from the dark and cold silence

And find his solace in me.

"Sounds Of Our Love"

I love the sound of flowers,

Talking at the break of dawn

I love the sound of birds

Singing in the morning sun

I love the sound of morning grass,

And dew as it evaporates from the lawn

I love the sound of laughter,

When two lovers are having fun

I love the sound of their hearts beating,

In rhythm together as one

The sound of the wind, the sound of the trees

The sound of you, the sound of me

These are the sounds of our love.

I love you, my King, your love reigns supreme,

Eternally in my heart.

Our souls entwined, it is so divine,

And I knew right from the start,

No other could compare, to a love so rare,

For you captured my heart.

And only to you, I remain forever true,

From you I will never depart.

You are my Adam, and I your Eve,

You are my King, and your love reigns supreme!

"I Think Of You"

I think of you each morning,

As we awake and face our day,

And as early afternoon approaches,

On my mind you stay.

As the day unfolds before me,

Your words of love echo in my ear,

So strong yet smooth,

So rhythmic and so clear;

And just as the sun begins to set,

Upon the horizon blue,

No matter if you are near or far,

My thoughts are still with you.

Then the day turns into night,

And my favorite time draws near,

It's when you are right beside me,

And your heartbeat is close to my ear.

Even as I close my eyes,

And we mumble off to sleep

My thoughts are still of you,

For in my dreams you creep.

"Dance Anyway"

It's true, life isn't the party,

I always thought it would be

Life has been up and down, high and low,

Long and short, to and fro

Life has been joy and happiness,

Heartaches and pain

It's been sunshine and rainbows,

After days of clouds and rain

But, Dance Anyway!

Life is what you make it,

Heaven and hell your experiences be

Take the time to make the best of it,

Enjoy every bird and every tree

Appreciate the best things in life,

Take self inventory and you will see

The best things are all around you,

So give thanks and feel free

To Dance Anyway!

"The First Move"

He looks at her, she looks at him, without words, they both know, what the other is thinking. He gets up and heads to the door that leads to the “rec” room. She follows him, looking for a little “recreation”. She goes to the place where the essentials are kept. Finding everything they need, she sits down on the love seat.

He finds some music to set the mood, and then lowers the lights a little dimmer. He takes a sit opposite to her. Gazing into each others eyes, they both know it’s time to get this party started, but they can’t figure out where exactly this time to do it. The only flat surface is the pool table, or maybe the usual positions on the floor. They agreed without speaking a word, on the pool table. They proceeded to lay out a sheet so as not to scratch the surface.

With the music and the lights just right, their minds racing, already planning their strategies, smiling in anticipation. She finally asked, “Who is going to make the first move, You?” “Nope” he replies, “How ‘bout you?” She bows her head and grins, “ten my friend” as she makes her first move, and thirteen moves later, she declares “Domino!”

"Happy Anniversary, Momma!"

We used to celebrate,

On this day every year, no matter what

Today, I celebrate alone, and my joys are few

Although some may think
That I did something grand

When in fact it was God's merciful hands

That gave me more time with you

Today I am smiling, wishing you were here

And feeling ever so blue

As I hold back the tears, I wish this

The most happiest anniversary to you.
